Mihir Desai is an Associate whose practice focuses on civil defense litigation. Prior to joining Kjar, McKenna & Stockalper, Mr. Desai worked in various other practice areas, including complex toxic tort and mass tort litigation, commercial litigation, real estate law, employment law, general civil litigation, and transactional law. He previously served as Principal Legal Officer for a national telemedicine company, Outside Counsel for a healthcare startup, and an associate attorney at other law firms in California. Before attending law school in Washington, DC, Mr. Desai was a Project Management Associate at a Fortune 200 IT solutions company.
Mr. Desai has represented employers, contractors, small businesses, large corporations, public entities, celebrities, and high-net-worth individuals in state and federal court. He has drafted, opposed, and successfully argued motions, including motions for summary judgment and adjudication. In addition, he has taken and defended over 75 depositions. Furthermore, Mr. Desai is an adept negotiator and has experience in mediation, arbitration (JAMS and AAA), and most aspects of litigation, including motion practice, trial preparation, and settlements.
