Before joining Kjar, McKenna, and Stockalper, LLP, she was an associate attorney for a firm in southern California handling employment defense work as well as providing counseling to companies in relation to various issues on hiring, retention, and termination of employees. She spoke at conferences and seminars focusing on employment laws both in English and Japanese. She has provided numerous sexual harassment training seminars both in English and Japanese to employees working for various industries. During law school, she served as a law clerk with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission at the Los Angeles District Office during the summer and fall semesters.
Sachiyo volunteers for various non-profit organizations impacting Japanese and Japanese Americans such as Japan America Society of southern California, Orange County Japanese American Association, and Asians and Pacific Islanders with Disabilities of California.
