Jason Petersen wins dismissal in complex high damages medical negligence case based on his Motion

Partner Jason Petersen submitted and successfully argued a high exposure legal malpractice case with the Court granting Defendant’s motion for summary judgment. Plaintiff brought a claim for legal malpractice, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty against her former counsel regarding the seven-figure settlement of an underlying automobile accident case. Jason presented witness testimony that was obtained during discovery in the underlying case that persuaded the Court that Plaintiff could not raise a triable issue of material fact to support the claims. Defendant’s motion for summary judgment was granted and costs of defense were awarded against Plaintiff.
