As a former teacher, Ms. Villegas began her career representing families of special needs students, aggressively advocating for her clients against large school districts and prevailing in litigation matters to achieve the results her clients deserved.
Ms. Villegas then focused her practice on personal injury defense, in areas including general negligence, premises liability, and products liability in both state and federal courts. Ms. Villegas joined Kjar, McKenna & Stockalper in 2021. Ms. Villegas has focused her practice on defending healthcare providers in complex medical malpractice litigation in Southern California. She is experienced in all phases of litigation from case evaluation and discovery through trial preparation and resolution of matters. Ms. Villegas has successfully obtained multiple summary judgments on behalf of her clients, resulting in early dismissals of claims.
Ms. Villegas was nominated for ASCDC’s Rising Star award in 2024, an honor awarded to emerging attorneys who demonstrate excellence in defense advocacy and professional achievement.
