Greg Emdee successfully defends allegations of terrorist threats and improper conduct in attorney fee dispute

Plaintiff was a prominent doctor at a well-known Southern California hospital, who used the services of an attorney to litigate and resolve his various civil disputes resulting in fees accruing. However, despite prompting, said Plaintiff never paid the fees owing. Consequently, the attorney initiated a civil action against the Plaintiff for the unpaid fees. In the process of litigating the fee case, Plaintiff claimed the attorney sent him a hazardous substance in the mail and sent armed men to his house.

Ultimately, Plaintiff alleged the attorney made violent terrorist threats in the process of attempting to collect their unpaid fees. After a complex five-day evidentiary hearing including testimony from law enforcement, Greg Emdee successfully demonstrated that the complained of acts were constitutionally protected and the Plaintiff had failed to meet their burden. The Court agreed and Greg Emdee was able to secure his client a defense verdict.
