Jim Kjar wins legal malpractice trial seeking $14M in damages

Jim Kjar received a unanimous verdict in a legal malpractice case. The plaintiff was a physician (dermatologist) who lost a medical malpractice case wherein she claimed that her treating opthamologist caused her to suffer permanent eye damage. She claimed $14M in past and future lost earnings. After plaintiff lost her case she sued her lawyer. Kjar argued that the lawyer did an excellent job and that the case was lost, among other things, because of plaintiff’s dishonesty with her lawyer. The jury deliberated for 3 days after a 3 week trial.
